Patience is something that I seem to not have. A few months ago, maybe in October, Oprah had a show in which she endorsed her new gadget. I record Oprah and since I love gadgets, this one in particular really caught my attention. I love to read, I have always loved to read. I buy most of the books in Oprah's book club. When she introduced the Kindle. I wanted it, I wanted it so bad. I asked Buddy if I could have it for my birthday, and he said yes. I went on Amazon to order it, and as I was about to check out, I felt bad. I don't know, something felt wrong. I thought about all my books, especially the ones that I like to re-read just sitting there collecting dust. I thought about how I would be giving up on opening a fresh new book, smelling the new pages and being able to use bookmarks. So I canceled my order.
