Getting ready for Leader of the Pack. Kolton, Kassie, Tatum G., Mckenna, and Tatum B. This year TDA chose to go to Dance Masters of America Nationals. They were held at the Coronado Springs Hotel in Disneyworld. Florida is a great place to visit, I could never live there. It is so humid and it rains all the time. It can be a beautiful day...and then all of a sudden here comes the rain. Disneyworld, however, is the most fun. It was Kassie's first trip to Disneyworld and she loved it. We had a blast, and it was so much fun getting on all the big kid rides with her. She is definetly a thrill rider. She could no...
KAR 2008 Encore 2008 Hippy Hippy Shake, will always be a special solo for me and Kassie. Why? It was her first. She really enjoyed this dance. She came got 9th place at Showstoppers, 1st place at Encore and 2nd place at KAR. I would say it did well. She will compete it for the last time at Nationals in Orlando Florida in the summer. Hopefully she will retire this dance on a good note. I am also glad that I waited to purchase her solo pictures from Propix. They are certainly the best action shot photograghers that I have seen.

I had always liked the song. Kassie started learning her solo right after we got back from New York in the summer. She was cleaning it, and was not sure when she wanted to compete it. She had only competed in group numbers so far. I went ahead and designed a costume for her and took the drawing up to Marge so that she can create it. Man I wish I had learned to sew without a pattern. But then again, Marge is so awesome, she makes costumes exactly like you ask. I have to admit that I did the rhinestoning on my own. It would have cost a fortune, I used about 15 gross of Swarovski's, I know that is CRAZY. She finally felt comfortable enough to do it, and by gosh, I think she did a great job. I was probably more nervous than she was when she went on stage. I knew the dance by heart, as...
