Hippy Hippy Shake

I could'nt help but be excited when Kassie's dance teacher informed me that her first solo was going to be to Hippy Hippy Shake. After all, I love, love the movie COCKTAIL with Tom Cruise. I had always liked the song. Kassie started learning her solo right after we got back from New York in the summer. She was cleaning it, and was not sure when she wanted to compete it. She had only competed in group numbers so far. I went ahead and designed a costume for her and took the drawing up to Marge so that she can create it. Man I wish I had learned to sew without a pattern. But then again, Marge is so awesome, she makes costumes exactly like you ask. I have to admit that I did the rhinestoning on my own. How fun it was to go shopping with her to get that special dress. I kept thinking that it would be no time before we would go shopping for Prom dresses. How time fly' s .... She wanted the perfect dress, and perfect shoes. She knew how she wanted to wear her hair, and asked if she could wear a little bit of gloss. Although she is used to wearing make up, it is only for dance. She knows that she can not, under any circumstance wear make up until she is older. Dad had me order her a corsage for this special day. It was beautiful, and it reminded me of the scene in Footloose when the mo
