Another confession....

I love Dancing With The Stars! I especially love this season, because three former So You Think You Can Dance contestants are now dancing as professionals. Lacey, Chelsea and Dimitry! Unfortunately Dimitry ended up with a bad partner. He was originally paired with Jewel, but she was injured and was replaced by Holly from Girls Next Door. I have a feeling that he will be voted off tonight. It's too bad, because he is amazing. Lacey may be going home soon too, her partner is not any good either. She was paired with Steve-O from the Jack*** movies. Chelsea might last a little longer, because her partner is really starting to improve. She is dancing with Ty Murray the bull rider, who is married to Jewel. Chelsea was one of my favorite dancers on SYTYCD. She danced my favorite dance of any season. It was to Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. Check it out here . You will love it. My second favorite dance from SYTYCD was performed by Lacey and Danny. They danced to Hip Hip, Chin Chin. It was c

Buddy, in case your wondering.....

May 10th is just around the corner. Here are a few ideas. (all you have to do is click on the picture, and it will take you right to the websites.) I love these, and yes, I have a similar pair in red, but I really want these in Black. or.. or or or and finally....... Please, pretty please..you know that mine is on it's last leg. (in black please) Love you Buddy!!

Remember when...

I was looking through old pictures and I found so many that I want to post. I stole the idea from one of my fellow bloggers. Starting Fridays, I will have a flashback Friday. I will post old pictures and have some fun. Family, make sure and check, you might just end up in some of the pictures. Here is a picture from Kai's first dance recital. We still lived in Douglas. Boy has she changed.

All cried out...

no, I'm not trying to sing the 80's Lisa Lisa hit. Although that song does bring back good memories. Memories of youthfulness. On the days where there were no worries. When waking up with a zit on my chin was the end of the world. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days when I woke up in the morning and did whatever my heart desired. If I wanted to ride my horse and feel the air through my hair. I would just go to my Papi's ranch and have my beautiful black horse saddled up for me and ride through the canyons all by myself. (After watching the movie Black Stallion, I wanted a solid black horse just like him and my Papi found him for me. His name was Cochito ) When I was done riding, I would sit down and have some heart to hearts with my Papi . If I wanted to just drive around and listen to my stereo full blast I could. And if I needed some retail therapy, I would just ask my Papi for money and head to Tucson and buy what my little heart desired. No matter how bad

Don't kill the messenger....

Buddy, while out on Friday night, I took Kai and Patti to Yogurtini. Next door to Yogurtini is a bike shop. Of course Kai wanted to go in there because she has been wanting one of these bikes forever. She picked this pink Hello Kitty one. She asked me to post it on my blog so that you could see it. It really is cute Buddy. So here is the picture you decide. I do feel that I should remind you about how good her report card was. Again, don't kill the messenger.

Remember that saying .........

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. This was true for me, but in reverse. I was the bride and never a bridesmaid. This has all changed. My best friend Cristina is getting married in November, and not only am I a bridesmaid, but I am the ultimate bridesmaid, I'm the Matron of honor. And Matron, only because I'm married , because I hope there is nothing matronly about me. (Please don't answer honestly right now.) Let me have my moment. Cristina and I have been friends since First grade. When we both lived in Douglas. We had some good times. She moved to Tempe right before 6 th grade. We kept in touch the whole time. I came out in her Quinceanera , and she came out in mine. She came out in my wedding, and now it's my turn to come out in hers. On Sunday afternoon, she hosted a luncheon for her wedding party. It was very nice. I can't wait for the wedding. On Sunday morning, I had the pleasure of accompanying my youngest niece Nicheli to look for her wedding

Saturday-Part B-Movie

After DMA , we were off to our Twilight DVD release party. Cristina took care of picking up the Mushroom Ravioli, and Patti and I got all the drinks and dessert. I unfortunately did not have time to go to Sprinkles. We were on the complete other side. We did however, get a cake. We had Bella hearts Edward written on it. It was funny . The girl at Safeway just looked at us like we were crazy. We had a very nice dinner and then we enjoyed the movie in Cristina's theater. We almost turned it into a sleepover. Patti, Kai and Maya hung out on the biggest bean bag I have ever seen while Cristina and I chilled in the theater seats that reclined....nice. It was like seeing it at AMC all over. Cristina's wedding is on November 21, the day after New Moon comes out, and my birthday. We are going to the midnight show again and then a weekend full of wedding events. Just today I got a text from her asking me not to see New Moon while she is on her Honeymoon. I told her that I couldn't

Saturday-Part A-Dance

Dance Masters of America is the dance competition that TDA competed in this weekend. I know that TDA has competed in it for many, many years. I'm not sure how many. I do know that in order to compete at DMA , you must be a member, and to be a member, the teachers have to pass the SAT's of Dance. There are very few members in the Arizona chapter for this reason. It is like many other competitions, where they have classes in the morning, and competition afterward. TDA had an awesome weekend. Out of the the top 10 solos in the 12 and under division, four were from TDA and the others were from Tucson Dance Academy, which is owned by Wanda's oldest daughter, Tammy. Kolton came in 1st, Mckenna came in 3rd, Tatum came in 4 th and Kai came in 6 th . It was awesome! I was so proud of her. This was the first time that she competed her solo. She had performed it in Disneyland , but it's different, the stage in Disneyland wasn't big enough for her to go full out. I lo

TGIF......

Yes, my countdown to the Twilight DVD has come to an end. Patti and I spent the evening running errands counting down the minutes until it was time to go to Borders. We arrived at about 9:30 and there was already so many people there. We were number 47 and 48. We played the Twilight boardgame while we waited. It was fun, we each got one trivia question wrong, and I actually think that the makers of the game are wrong, but that's just me. Finally at midnight we bought our movies. We each bought two. The Borders Limited Edition version and the regular two disk edition. The Limited edition comes in an awesome case with a stack of pictures with a metallic hue to them. It is pretty cool. Buddy was pretty bummed that I did'nt wait to get the Blu Ray version. It must be a guy thing, because I honestly can't tell the difference. I mean when he updgraded to HD I couldn't tell the difference either. I can, however tell you the differene between regular and italian leather. That&#

Yogurtini anyone???

So, I had to meet a friend during my lunch hour for a business tranasaction. Totally legal, I swear. She bought some Jazz shoes for her daughter from me and I was dropping them off. She was having her nails done at UNI on Rural and University. As I was driving off, I saw a sign that caught my attention. It was for Yogurt. I thought the name was so cute. My car just parked by itself, was that a hint? So, I listened to my car and I went to check it out. This is what I found, I very hip self serve yogurt bar. You pick your cup size, then you self serve yourself one of the many frozen yogurt flavors. (I picked the Yogurtini Tart) and then you make your way to the toppings bar. They have anything you can imagine. Fresh fruit, granola, almonds, syrups, cereals etc. Then, when you are done with your toppings, you lay your Yogurtini on the scale, they weigh it, you pay, and you enjoy!!! Here is the link to Yogurtini , you will absolutely love it!! And, by the looks of it, there are four more l

Invites

BEFORE... AND AFTER. A few posts back, I mentioned my trip to Paper Soiree. I finally had time to make Nachito's invitations for his First Holy Communion and Confirmation. He was actually very interested in this project. He watched me, and he made some suggestions. Here is the final product. One thing down, a zillion more to go. Next thing on list, favors.

No pancakes yet...

I found a product that will help me with my plan to make pancakes in the morning. (No, I haven't done it yet.) As I was browsing through AJ's the other night, I found these in the refrigerator section. Already made pancake batter that you refrigerate ! And, you can use it to make waffles too. I'm off to a good start. Now, if Buddy would only bring back my Presto Griddle, that I happen to like back. He borrowed it months ago to make breakfast for the guys down at APS . I still haven't seen it. They have officially kidnapped my griddle. I want it back! So that I can make the kids pancakes in the morning, until then, my hands are tied. Sorry kids. If anyone trys this product before me, let me know how it works.

Boy will I get pinched today

I woke up a bit under the weather today and was not really in the mood to accessorize my black wardrobe with some green. As a result, I know that I will get pinched and I will return the favor with a bit of "pink eye". On top of having a respiratory infection, pain when I swallow, and a horrible sinus infection, I also woke up with a yucky right eye. So pinch me, I dare you. Happy St. Patricks day anyways. Buddy called and invited me to some dinner and green beer in honor of this Holiday. I must confess I don't know much about St. Patricks Day. I just know you wear green as to avoid pinching and that people go to "pubs" to drink a lot in hopes of seeing a leprechaun I guess. Either way, have a fun and safe St. Patricks day. Buddy will have his green beer, while I have my green NyQuil . Maybe then, I too can see a leprechaun .

Not funny

In this mornings post I was trying to be funny about the fact that Nachito got an extra day off of school due to a roof collapse . Well, after seeing the news and pictures of the collapse , I realize it was not funny at all. This could have been very serious. This room is where the kids eat breakfast, lunch and have recess. All I can say is thank God that it happened when no one was in school and that no one was hurt. We don't even know for sure if they will resume school tomorrow . I hope that they are able to have this fixed soon.

Alice invites you......

to the Twilight DVD release party! Saturday, March 21, 2009 8:00 p.m. Cristina's House (contact me for directions) I finally have the schedule for the competition on Saturday, and awards are at 6:00. And that gives us plenty of time to have the party. And just so you know, my nickname from Cristina is Alice. One, because we are the best of friends like Alice and Bella, and two, because she is in the process of planning a wedding and I am helping her as much as I can. Just like Alice helped Bella. So there! Hope to see you on Saturday and Be prepared to swoon, and to not talk during the movie. We will have none of that. Cristina will tell you that I seriously hate when people talk during the movie. She after all has been to the movie with me on many occasions. As has Patti. We like to sit and enjoy it, every second of it. I hope you like the pictures I added. They are outtakes from the GQ cover shoot! See what I mean by SWOON!!

It's Just Another Manic Monday....

At least I did'nt pick "Walk Like an Egyptian" I wish it were Sunday... Am I totally aging myself with this song? Sundays are my "Fun Days" and my "I don't have to run days." And speaking of running, there was no running out the door this morning. YES! Well, I should be honest though. I DID get some of the clothes ready last night. I DID NOT iron last night. I DID change the alarm clock. I DID NOT make pancakes. I DID have my Starbucks . I DID NOT fear the "tardy lady". Yay , right? Well actually it was because of circumstances out of my control. Just as I was about to iron this morning, an announcement was made on our local news. Attention: There will be no school for the students at Waggoner Elementary due to a water leak that caved in the roof of the school building. Please listen to the afternoon news for more information on whether the students can return on Tuesday. Lucky "tardy lady", she got an extra day off! Good for h

American Idol

My top two picks!!!! I really can't even believe that it is the eighth season of American Idol already. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. That means that I was still in my 20's when I started to watch it. Late 20's, but in my 20's nonetheless. This phenomenon has really taken off. I like millions of others count down the days to watch each season. And, how sad is it, that I love the first two weeks when they showcase all the horrible singers. I sometimes feel guilty for sitting there laughing and in some cases re-playing the worst of the worst. I did say sometimes right? My favorite is definetly at the point we are now, the final 11. I have my early favorites, and I really hope they make it to the top two. My pick to win Idol is Adam Lambert, but in a way, I hope he comes in second. And that is only because he is so different and I don't believe he would like all the constraints that the American Idol contract comes with. I know he will get a recor

Confessions...

Can I just say how much I love my new blog design. It is exactly what I wanted. Danielle over at The Design Girl did a fantastic job. Please, if you need your blog re-done, or if you are thinking of starting a blog, use her awesome services. I would also like to thank Buddy for my new blog, because he gifted it to me for Valentines Day. And Buddy, I know that you think you got off easy. Just so you know, my post of what I want for Mothers Day is just around the corner. I really thought long and hard about a new name for my blog. After reading so many blogs in the recent months, I realized how important it is to have a name that fits the "blogger". Then, one morning this name came to me. Because again, in the recent months I have become a "Blogoholic" and I have a lot to confess. And I plan on doing just that. My first post on my new blog is titled Confessions so here are a few. I love my Husband and children more than anything in this world. I honestly believe that

Thank God for Starbucks....

So here I am at work on a Friday. Why do I have to work on Friday? Oh right...because I was off on Monday and Tuesday. This is really my Wednesday, so stop complaining Neisha . I'm sitting here thinking that today is the last day of Spring Break for the monsters that I left at home this morning. Monsters?? Yes, that is what Buddy and I call them. Only just now am I brave enough to admit it. We also have a little monster which is aka Chanel. Anyways, I'm thinking about all the house work that I HAVE to do this weekend and picturing all of the funner alternatives. Hummmm . Then again, if I happen to finish the house work. That would mean that my week would start out good. Or not? I am determined to have my mornings run smooth. Let me think...when was the last time that I had a smooth morning? thinking... still thinking.... Nothings coming to me. Sadly, it's been that long. In vision this: Alarm goes off at 6:30 half an hour later than it should. Nachito needs to be at schoo

One more post

I know I have talked about the Kindle before. But, I just have to mention something else. Last week, Amazon added a Kindle application to the IPhone. I swear, technology. Basically, for any Kindle owner that has an IPhone, you can transfer any Kindle book purchases to your IPhone. And you can read your books on your IPhone too! So, I tried it, and it works! I didn't even have to take my Kindle with me on my trip, all I needed was my phone. I was able to read my books on the plane, and in some of the long lines at Disneyland. Amazing. And, when you turn on your Kindle, it automatically asks you if you want it to the last page that you read on your phone. Crazy... So if you have and IPhone, and a Kindle, be sure and download this application. I gurantee that you will like it. Kindle asking me if I want it to go to last page read on IPhone. And this is what it the screen looks like on IPhone. And, while I was on the flight to LA. I nice girl was sitting next to me, she was reading

Look at this!!

My man is on the cover of GQ !!! And I have to say that he looks ohh to good!! I have eight more days until the Twilight DVD comes out. Which means I have eight more days in which I need to go see Twilight for the 20 th time. (sorry Buddy) I have seen it 19 1/2 times at a theater. Two weeks ago Buddy, me and Nachito went to go see Slumdog Millionaire and after it was over, we snuck into the last half of Twilight. Which is why I have seen it 19 1/2 times. And, I have been a bad girl because a friend of mine gave me a bootleg copy that I haven't shared with anyone. I have had it since January. And it's a very good bootleg copy too!! I've lost count on how many times I've seen the bootleg. Sorry friends! I'm selfish that way. It is only playing at AMC 24 now. Well, it's also at Tempe Cinemas, but I prefer AMC . So, any friends that won't be mad at me for not sharing bootleg copy, would you like to go with me to see Twilight for the 20th time on Saturda

Surfing..

What do I do when I can't sleep? I surf! No, not the water run into shark kind of surfing. I surf the Internet . And when I surf, I find cool websites like this one . Which carries the coolest things like these! Lace packaging tape?? How cute is that? Check out this cool "tape" dispenser!! I think I need this for my office!! And speaking of tapes, do we all remember cassette tapes? Having to rewind or forward to listen to that favorite song. Oh how about living in Arizona and leaving your cassettes in your car, only to find them melted. : ( Our children have no idea what cassette tapes are. They just push a button to listen to their favorite song. Actually, they can carry their whole music collection on their Ipod . We had to have cases for our music. How times have changed. And, and, just yesterday as I surfed, I was on the Apple website and they came out with a new shuffle. It is tiny! It is the size of a key. It's crazy! Pretty soon, it will just fit in your ear.

Disneyland 2009

Here are some of the Disneyland picures. What a great time! See you in September Mickey!!!
