Party anyone???

Can I just say how much I enjoy entertaining...I have always loved to put parties together, or plan small gatherings. And now, something must be in the air, because I am dying to plan another get together . I just need to come up with a reason. Can someone help me with that? Someone must be having a molar pulled or some kind of something that merits a gathering. I'm open to suggestions. Or......maybe it's because the other day while blog hopping I came across this blog . It is an entertainers heaven. I have just gone through a few pages and I am in awe of all the great entertaining ideas. It has decorating ideas, recipes, products, birthday party themes, baby shower themes. Please, visit this blog, you will absolutely love it! It will make you want to throw your mail man a party, I swear. Don't say I didn't warn you. And, since I did happen to entertain over the weekend for my sons Communion. I made some very simple Pomegranate martinis, and I have had four

Last, but not least

I was tagged by Baby Bees Boutique with this Passionate Blogger button. Thanks for thinking of me. I am to write about five things that I am passionate about. 1. FAMILY As the years go by, I realize just how much my family means to me. Not just my immediate family, but my family in general. Just last week, by mothers brother, my Tio Pilingy was air vac'd to Tucson Medical Center and underwent a double bypass surgery on Friday. It was scary, but thankfully he is recovering quite well. I realized that my family is everything to me and that I am grateful to have them in my life. My Tio Pilingy has been like a second father to us. He has always been there for us, even before our dad passed away. My mom and him are so close, and I'm thankful that he is doing better. I am passionate about my kids because they too, are passionate people. They enjoy life to the fullest, and even though, sometimes my patience wears thin with them, I am thankful that they are healthy and that I have

Alyssa turns 4!

It was a fun filled weekend. The kids all had a great time, and I hadn't been to the zoo in a while, and I really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect.

Nachito is officially Holy

He didn't last very long in his suit Beautiful cake from Cake Cafe in Ahwatukee Nachito and Nicholas It took me five pictures to get him to look my directions Nachito's Banner Kai Kai Nina De and Devon Hector, Alessandra and my niece Nicheli Tia Stella and Nachito Uncle Fernie/Nino Fernie and Nachito Kai, Nana Norma and Nachito Nina Cristina and Nachito Kai, Nachito and Gabbers The Honoree Two more important events have been crossed off my list. My little boy made his First Holy Communion, and his Confirmation on Saturday. That morning as Buddy and I got him dressed, it was an honor to know that he was on his way to be a part of the Catholic Church, and that he would be receiving Communion for the first time. On the other hand, I was sad, sad because he was growing up so fast. These are the events that you look forward to as parents. You think about them, and yet it seems like it will be forever until they actually happen. But time goes by much to fast and that da

Flashback Friday

First of all, I was a very bad blogger last week. I only had one post, and I have not caught up on my blog reading. It was mainly due to the fact that I was getting ready for Nachito's First Holy Communion. So I apologize. Flashback Friday posted on a Monday. This week I am posting two of my favorite pictures of Nachito . One was taken at his very first Diamondbacks game. He was about six months old. He was such a cutie, and he was such a good little baby. He loved to hang out with Buddy in his kangaroo pack. He really enjoyed the game, and there were many more games after that. The next picture, was taken at his first birthday party. His theme just happened to be....Arizona Diamondbacks too! There he is with Buddy again. As you might guess, Buddy is a big D-Backs fan. And can I just say that I really miss the original D-backs colors. His party was so much fun, and he had a great time. He had his Gonzo themed cake and his baseball shaped pinata. The invitations were exact replicas

Crafting..

So I did start to clean out my craft closet, and I actually ended up moving most of it upstairs to the play room closet. There is more room in there. I made some clip holders and some clips for my Goddaughter and my niece. It's not much, but it's a start. I really spent the whole weekend cleaning. Deep cleaning. Closets, drawers, walls, etc... NO FUN! But, by last night, I was excited because I am about two loads away from being completly done with laundry. YES!! Now I just have to finish putting it all away, and I'm done. So, I'm sorry, I haven't kept up on blogging, or reading blogs. I will catch up this week. Now, I'm off to work. I'm working through my lunches so that I can get out early and finish what I need to do.

Flashback Friday

Ignacio Romo Leon 10-20-36 to 08-24-1997 At his desk at the police department His favorite place in the whole world, his ranch. My 14th birthday party. In this picture, you can see his cattle brand on his belt buckle. It was 4R because he registered it years before I was born. I was so jealous, I wanted him to change it to 5R and he couldn't because once you register a brand you can't change it. My Quinceanera 11-19-1988 My Debutante Ball 04-1989 (yes, that is Buddy with me) My high school graduation My wedding 08-14-1993 My Daddy... On this Friday, I find myself filled with so much sadness for the loss of my father. I know that I have posted on this before, but as I was looking through pictures for Flashback Friday, I came across so many pictures of him. I knew that I was meant to dedicate this Flashback Friday to him. Now that I am all grown and have kids of my own, I realize that there really is no Cinderella and that prince charming doesn't exist. Not in the fairy t

New Moon means New Projects

Filming has started for New Moon, and the waiting is already driving me crazy. I remember waiting for the premiere of Twilight. I had a countdown widget on my screen at work. I think I must have watched the five trailers a million times. Waiting for the Soundtrack to come out was just as exciting. I really need to find something to keep me busy for the next seven months, that way I don't get too obsessed again. The good news is, that they have cast all of the Volturi and Harry Clearwater . You can see pictures of them here . The bad news is, having to wait so long to see them in the movie. I do have to say, that I can not wait to see Dakota Fanning as Jane, I think she was cast perfectly. I have also read, that although my Edward is only in the beginning and in the end of New Moon, that he will come out throughout the movie. Especially when Bella is putting herself in danger to hear his voice. They are going to show him talking to her. That will make the movie for me. So I guess

Easter 2009

Easter Sunday was a blast. As tradition, we went over to Buddy's brothers house. They made an awesome lunch. Turkey, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, croissants, etc. etc. We had a great time, as always. The boys played video games, and Kai and Alyssa played with her new Barbie house. Alyssa is such a girly girl. Towards the end of the afternoon, they had their Easter egg hunt. Aunt Wendy always has so many eggs to hide. As a matter of fact, I hardly buy candy for the kids baskets, because I know that the basket from Aunt Wendy will have enough to last them until Halloween at least. The Easter Bunny did come to the Lopez house, and brought the usual pink basket for Kai, and the usual green basket for Nachito. Kai's had a lot of hair accesories, make-up and the Core Rhythms excercise videos. Don't ask, I have no idea why she wanted that, but she has been writing down the number from the infamercial for weeks. Nachito is always happy with video games. All in all, it was
