Dear Daddy,

I want a goose that lays golden eggs for Easter. Then Buddy says "And if that goose doesn't lay golden eggs, Daddy's going to buy you a diamond ring. And if that diamond ring won't shine, Daddy's gonna buy you that PUPPY that you want!!" And that is exactly what Buddy did this weekend. He bought his little girl a brand new PUPPY! I was exaggerating about the goose and the diamond ring, but not about the PUPPY. This is where the story starts. Let's go back two weeks. The culprit of this story, and I blame her, and her only. My friend Holly. Why? She bought her daughter a new PUPPY two weeks ago. On the day that she purchased Tink , we met her at the pet store to help her transport Tink and all of Tinks belongings. She was still signing papers and when we got there.....not only was Tink in the room playing, but also a male Toy Pomeranian. Yes, he was adorable and chubby and funny and well, he was darn right CUTE! And, for Kai it was love at first sight.

Kassie's 11th Birthday Party "Hollywood" Saturday, September 15, 2007 For Kai's 11th birthday party, we went with a "Hollywood" theme and a CRAZY sleepover. Here are some of the pictures. To read more details about the party, click on here .

Flashback Friday

Here it is Friday again. I can't believe how fast the week went by. Two weeks of school have gone by already. This past week was a bit of a challenge. First, just as I was bragging about Nachito's Asthma being under control, he starts to have Asthma attacks all night Saturday and all day Sunday. I bring him into the office on Monday, and his oxygen levels are down and he's put on steroids, antibiotics, on top of all of his Asthma meds . He was a sick little boy. Then on Wednesday, both Kai and Buddy tested + for Strep throat. At this point, I just want to rent a room at a hotel to keep from getting sick. Fortunately both kids are back at school today just in time for the weekend. Not that I have any major plans this weekend, which I'm actually happy about. Just the normal laundry, cleaning and relaxing. Ok , so back to Flashback Friday. Today I realized that I have officially been blogging for over three years. As I was about to post about Kai's 10 th Birthday, I

Cool finds.....

So it's almost one in the morning and I can't seem to fall asleep. I was doing some Internet window shopping and I came across the coolest stuff. I love to share because I get a lot of cool ideas from other blogs as well. First, I found these fabulous shoes that I must have. They are from Anthropologie . I think they are so cute....don't you? If you would like to beat me to the punch, go for it...I really don't mind. Click on here so that you can check out these adorable shoes. Website has a lot more pictures of them. And while you are there, check out the cool new colors that they have for my favorite latte bowls . Then, I was checking out office supplies at See Jane Work and I came across two cool products. First are CD labels and sleeves that make your CD's look like vintage records. How cute are they? This would be perfect for an 80's inspired birthday party. Ooooohhhh I just had an idea. I will have to follow up on that one. If you are interested in th

A whole lot of nothing....

but fun stuff for me. It's hard to be in party mode, because then it's all I think about. It's that whole OCDness . It makes me obsessed with things. While on the Internet last night, I was looking for cute "pink stuff" for Kai's party. I came across this website . I had to share. It has any baking supplies you can imagine. Cute stuff too. Not just your average cupcake baking cups. They have some with stripes, polka dots, etc. etc. They have the biggest selection of cupcake and cake toppers I have ever seen. Check it out, I'm sure you will love it. And , while I'm on the subject of cupcakes, I have a confession to make. Granted, it's an old confession, but I have to do it. While in NYC, I cheated! Yes, that's right, I cheated on Magnolia Bakery cupcakes. That's it, it's out! Phew, it feels good to come clean. First, I cheated on them with these cupcakes from a cute restaurant called Alice's Tea House. There was this vanilla and re

Flashback Friday x 2

Kassie's 9 th Birthday Saturday, September 10, 2005 "Fabulous 50's" Yes, I know that this was a repeat birthday party. In my defense, it was only because I really, really like the 50's theme. And plus, we lived in a whole other city and we had a whole new set of friends. And, Kai was older, so she could enjoy it more. There, I'm done with my excuses for having copied her 3rd birthday party. In terms of invitations, why mess with the originality. : ) I again, made invitations out of old 45 records. Oh....I know a difference. Her 3rd birthday color scheme was red and black, and this one was pink and black. So there, it was a little different. We had a hula hoop contest in which she could actually participate in this time. And she came in second place. And that was only after I gave her the you better lose look, because how fair would it be for her to win a contest at her own birthday party? Her and another friend had been hula hooping for about 10 minutes and

Routine, structure, patience and most importantly forgiveness...

I've come to the conclusion, that I need routine and structure in my life. At the present time, and probably for the past few years my brain has known nothing of the sort. I used to be OK with this, but more recently I'm just not OK with it. At times I have joked about how chaotic our lives are. I guess I have come to the realization that it is not funny anymore. For the sake of my family and friends, I need to find some structure and establish a routine. I have all the technology needed to help me organize myself, yet I don't find the time to use it. How ridiculous is that? Is it that my brain is on overload? Probably, but whose isn't? I am not the only working mother in this world, and yet that is always my excuse. Enough of that. Enough of trying to make excuses for myself. I need to just get it together. Life is just to short to stress about the unimportant aspects of life. It seems like everyday God is sending me signs. For the past few weeks, things have just

And here we go....

another school year. The morning ran pretty smoothly. Especially considering the fact that I had not taken the last week to get the kids to bed early. I meant to, but I just didn't. Nachito had the hardest time going to sleep last night, maybe 4 th grade jitters, or maybe he was just to used to going to bed late. Nonetheless , he woke up fairly easy and was excited for the new year. Buddy and I drove him to school, and I walked him into his class. He was a little more quiet than usual, but I'm sure that by the time I got back to the car, he was his good old self. We are hoping for a quieter year from him. He does tend to be the talker in class. We shall see. This week, my goal is to look into some sports for him to play. His asthma has been under good control (knock on wood). He has been hospital free for almost two years (knock on wood again). And that is a good thing. For a while there, he was in and out of the hospital. Thanks to his pulmonologist and his allergist, he

A Baby Shower

About a month ago, my friend Patti asked me to design and make some baby shower invitations for her sisters baby shower. The theme is sock monkey's. I love it!! The colors they are using are red, brown and tan. I designed the actual invitation, and then I ordered the red pochette's and red envelopes. I wrapped the invitations with brown grosgrain ribbon and added a red button to it. They look a lot better in person, but I am very happy with how they turned out. I really do enjoy making invitations for fun. I have made invitations for a lot of family and friends. The only cost involved, is the supplies. It's just something that I enjoy doing. I really don't have time to turn it into a business. In the mean time, I will continue to make them for family and friends. At least for now.

The Volturi

How awesome is this picture? In just a little over three months will be the release of New Moon. Most of the cast is already in Vancouver getting ready to start filming Eclipse. I think Dakota looks awesome as Jane. They all look pretty scary. Don't they?

Flashback Friday

Kassie's 8 th Birthday Saturday, September 24 th , 2004 "Diva Rock Star" Don't ask me how or why I came up with the theme for this party. Maybe because at the time, Kassie really thought she was going to be a rock star. This was before Hannah Montana, Camp Rock and all the "singing" Disney shows. She sang and danced in front of mirrors all day long. She was Sassy and all that too. Any time a camera came out, she would pose for pictures, not just lets stand still pose, it was a hands on hip, I'm on the red carpet pose. I guess I played into it, because that is what us mothers do. We hosted this party at our home. There is a picture of the invitations below. All the kids were instructed to wear their own "Diva" outfit. At the time, I still worked in cosmetics. I was very good friends with all of the vendors, and so they all gave me boxes and boxes of samples for the party. We used the make-up to make the girls into "Divas" and we combe

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

A new school year...

Happy Birthday...........

Yes, it is Buddy's birthday today. He is 3? today. He probably wouldn't mind if I disclosed the actual number. Let's just say he is very close to the big 40. He did graduate 20 years ago and he almost has a teenage daughter and a double digit son. And not to mention the fact that for three months, he is three years older than me. : ) Buddy took the day off for his birthday, and rather than being home relaxing, he is at his shop working. Very typical for him. Last night we did go see the Hangover with Critina and Ray, and it was hillarious. His brother and I will be stealing him away for an hour and taking him to lunch. And we will have a nice dinner this evening. So Buddy, hope you have an awesome birthday. Thank you for everything that you do.
