Ok, so last year I though having 12 girls spend the night was crazy, so how on earth did I think 27 would be any better. I have never been famous for knowing how to say "no". Obviously I still don't say "no". Kassie just could not come up with a small list of girls to invite to her "Hollywood Sleepover". She did not want to hurt anyones feelings, so she invited pretty much everyone that is in her dance classes. It's interesting, but when you dance 6 to 7 days out of the week, the dance friends are who she wants to invite. It's not that she does not have friends at school, but she is closer to her dance friends. The girls had so much fun, they all got dressed up and ready to walk the "Red carpet". The older girls pretended to be E news reporters and asked all the fun questions. They dined on appetizers and of course sparkling cider. The famous chocolate fountain made an appearance again. What the heck, I don't sleep much anyways. I had a lot of activites planned for them, I had ordered miniature oscars, but when you have so many girls at a party, nothing goes according to plan. Needless to say, it was crazy. I have to thank all of my neighbors for their patience and for not calling the police with the screams and laughing that they had to have heard all night. By 2 in the morning, only half of them had gone to sleep. The rest were playing Wii and I was making coffee at 2 a.m. I sat down and had a chat with the older girls as they drank hot chocolate while I had my Java. It was nice. Kassie you ask? She was the first one to fall asleep. Yes, my child is famous for being the first one to fall asleep at sleepovers. This has not changed. I want to say that about 6 girls stayed up all night and never slept, and neither did I. In the end, it was a great party and one that I am sure will be remebered for a long, long time. I know I will.
