Is it really 2009?

Happy New Year to all!!! We said goodbye to 2008 and we welcomed 2009. Only god knows what he has in store for us all. Nonetheless, the year is gone and we have a new one to look forward too. There is so much I would like to do this new year. Well, I'd better hurry, because I have already lost five days. Five days into the new year, and yes, my Christmas tree is still sitting in my living room. I'm off to a great start, are'nt I? My only excuse, is that I did'nt get my tree up untill the 21st of December this year. I usually have it up and decorated by the Saturday after Thanksgiving. So who can blame me for wanting to keep it up just a little later. And besides, I'm hispanic, and the "Relles Magos" don't come untill tommorow, so there. I'm excused.

As far as New Years resolutions, I would'nt know where to begin. Of course, I like everyone else, wants to "get in shape", that's code for lose some weight. It just sounds better if you say "get in shape". Yes, I will jump on that band wagon again, and hopefully this year, that band wagon has some sturdy tires and I can get to my final destination instead of dropping me off only half way and then having to start all over. LOL

Then there is the subject of Family. I would like to spend a lot more time with my Family, not just Buddy, Kai and Nachito. But my whole family. It really hit me when we went down to Douglas for New Years. We had such a good time, we laughed so much. We went to a local dance, a dance that we used to go to every year when we lived there. It's in a small venue, it does not fit more than 200 people, I don't think. The music was awesome, but the company was even better. It was good to sit there and catch up with friends and family. And even better to go back to our roots. It's so easy to get so caught up in this busy metropolitan life and forget where you really come from. Forget where you were raised, and why we are who we are. That is what is important. I realized, just how much I miss my little hometown. The traditions, the cultural music, the cultural food, oh nevermind about the food, I have to keep reminding myself about the band wagon. : ) The food, I guess I could live without, for a while at least. Thank you to my friends and family that helped us welcome in the New Year. We had a blast, and we plan on a repeat next year.

Another resolution I had, that I have decided to put on the back burner, is getting me, my house, and my life organized. Why? Because if I try to do that, then I won't have much success with my resolution above. So if I have a few junk drawers and I am a few loads behind on the laundry again this year, it will be ok. That only means that I am spending more time with my Family and Friends. So yes, it is really 2009 and we are happy and ready for what lies in store.
Again, Happy New Year!!!

Love,

Me

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

Good things come to those who wait...

I was having one of those bad Mondays. One of those Mondays when everything seems to be going wrong. 1. Our phones at the office are not working. 2. Statements went out over the weekend and angry patients are calling to complain. 3. My coffee got cold and I had to throw it away, and now I have a caffeine headache. 4. My cell phone has been tied up all day because I'm having our calls forwarded to it. (good thing for rollover minutes). 5. My boss has just added two more things to my darker pink "TODO" notebook. And just as I was about to roll up in a ball and hide under my desk, I got this e-mail. Dear Kindle Customer, Today, we introduced Kindle 2, the next generation of our wireless reading device. Because you already ordered the original Kindle and are awaiting its arrival, we're pleased to inform you that we are upgrading your order so that you will receive the new Kindle 2. You will be in the first group to receive Kindle 2, and you will receive yours as soon as K

Where do I begin???

After a long absence from my blog, I am finally sitting down to post. So much has happened in the past month that I honestly don't know where to begin. December 23, 2009 turned my world upside down. My mom suffered a minor heart attack, and was taken by ambulance to Chandler Regional Hospital. When I arrived, she was in good shape, and she was talking. They ordered a CT Scan of her chest. When she got back to the ER from her test, every thing that could have gone wrong, did. She suffered another heart attack, this one was much worse. She was in-tubated and things were not looking very good for her. The next few days were spent waiting for tests to be run, consulting with Dr.s and praying. A lot of praying. We were finally told that she would need to undergo a quadruple bypass. There was a problem with that, because she was in critical condition. Her kidneys were failing, her blood pressure was to high, as was her blood sugar. And, she was to weak. The surgeon said that we would
