Hope for the best

A Chantilly Lace solo update. Unfortunately, Sandy, the awesome seamstress that makes a lot of the solos down at TDA could not find lycra to match the eggplant lace had to make an executive desicion. She was not able to get a hold of me and she ordered different colors for Kassie's solo costume. She changed it to Red and Orange. I think those colors will look great, but I really had my heart set on the eggplant and lime green. And since we are pressed for time, because we leave for Chicago on February 20, and if that city opens up for solos, I have to have a costume ready. But, I will hope for the best, and I know it will be great. Besides, Sandy has been making costumes for a very long time, she knows what she is doing. The good thing, is that the fire opal, lt. siam and sun Swarovski's will look great on that costume, so that's a good thing. Again, I will post pictures of the finished product. On another note, Kassie finished her solo yesterday and I really like it. Now, it's just a matter of cleaning it. It has a lot of elements in it, so she really has to build up her energy so that she can finish it as strongly as she starts it.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
