20 more days

for the DVD release of Twilight. I can't wait. And for my friends who are Twilight fans, my friend Cristina and I are hosting a DVD release party. It will be at her house on Saturday, March 21. We are ordering Mushroom Ravioli from Cafe Boa (yum, yum, yum) and I will be picking up some Red Velvet cupcakes from where else other than Sprinkles. It will be a great time, and all my Twilight friends are invited. I will give more details as the event date is closer.

On another note, I finally got my Kindle2 on Friday. I love it! I already have my Twilight series downloaded on it. It took minutes. It was so fast. One sad note, I tried to download the Harry Potter series on it, and it's not available on Kindle, or any e-book format for that matter. J K Rowling refused to release the books for e-versions. That is so sad. I have all the Harry Potters on Hard cover and paper back. I would have bought all seven on e-book version too! There are a lot of book choices though. Great investment, I tell you, GREAT!!!

And forgive me, for I have not posted in a few days and I have lots to talk about. Nachito will be making his First Holy Communion on April 25 and I am starting to plan his reception. I went over to Paper Soiree in Chandler to purchase the paper for his invitations. They have such cute stationary and papers. Great individual wrapping papers too! The owner, Pam, helped me so much in selecting the paper, inserts and envelopes. She special ordered them for me, and they came in so fast. I knew that I wanted a grosgrain ribbon for invites. And she told me about a new store that opened in Chandler. Oh boy! It's called Ribbons and Lace. They have wall to wall ribbons. You name the color or pattern, they have it. They have satin ribbons, grosgrain ribbons. All sizes and widths. It's a crafters heaven. They have plain headbands so that you can embellish them. They have the cutest metal frames that you can add ribbon too. They also have great barrette holders. It was enough to give me a happy headache. And, it made me want to start making hair accessories again. I resisted though, and didn't buy anything other than the ribbon for the invitations. I will have to take Kai, she will go crazy buying supplies for her clips. I will stay focused and make invitations. I will post finished product when it's done.

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
