Hey! there, Hi! there, Ho! there

You're as welcome as can be
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.
Mickey Mouse!
Mickey Mouse! etc, etc.

Doesn't that song just want to make you run and get your Mickey ears? It does to me. And in just two days, that's exactly what we will be doing. We will be off to Neverland and all the other magical places in Disneyland. And thankfully Buddy will be able to accompany us after all. He had so much work that he was going to stay home. Me and the kids were pretty bummed, but yesterday he decided to come after all, so Ohana! Because we all know that Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. It comes from the years and years of watching and listening to Disney movies. Quotes like that just stick in my head. And everyone that knows me, knows that the minute I cross that gate, I truly become a kid again. As does Buddy. Our kids have a hard time keeping up with us.

Usually we don't need a reason for our hearts to go towards the "Happiest Place on Earth". We try to go at least once a year. This time, however, we are going so that Kai can perform with the group from TDA/Talent Factory. This is an annual trip that the studio plans. It is not a competition, and I love that fact. It's more of an exhibition where the kids can go and just have fun, no pressure. Since Kassie started competing, the Disney trip always fell on a weekend with a competition, and this year it didn't! So we quickly signed up.

It will be a family affair, because apart from the four of us going, my mom, sister, niece and great-nephew are coming too! This will be Devons first time in Disneyland and he can not wait. He is two years old and he loves kickey mouse. He has been talking about it for weeks. I can't wait to see his reaction the first time he lays his eyes on kickey mouse. I know he will love it. I see a lot of kids that are afraid of the characters, but I know he won't be, Kai and Nachito never were. If anything, they couldn't get enough. I have the cutest picture that I will have to post. Kai hugging Minnie so hard by the waist, and Nachito attached to her leg. It's hilarious, poor Minnie. So on Friday, we will be up, up and away so that we can go see them.

We can't wait!!!!

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
