Saturday-Part A-Dance

Dance Masters of America is the dance competition that TDA competed in this weekend. I know that TDA has competed in it for many, many years. I'm not sure how many. I do know that in order to compete at DMA, you must be a member, and to be a member, the teachers have to pass the SAT's of Dance. There are very few members in the Arizona chapter for this reason.

It is like many other competitions, where they have classes in the morning, and competition afterward. TDA had an awesome weekend. Out of the the top 10 solos in the 12 and under division, four were from TDA and the others were from Tucson Dance Academy, which is owned by Wanda's oldest daughter, Tammy.

Kolton came in 1st, Mckenna came in 3rd, Tatum came in 4th and Kai came in 6th. It was awesome! I was so proud of her. This was the first time that she competed her solo. She had performed it in Disneyland, but it's different, the stage in Disneyland wasn't big enough for her to go full out. I love her solo, it's perfect for her. Next time she competes her solo, it will be KAR and that's not until May, so she has some time to clean it.

Five of the top 10 12 and under group numbers were also, won by TDA. They swept the top three spots. Great job to all of the TDA dancers!!! Next up...NYCDA in Phoenix

Yes, but not her solo. Just in group numbers. She will do her solo at KAR. That is after NYCDA. Patti is going, you and Tori should come watch. NYCDA is fun to watch too!

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Blog Remodel

I am also looking forward to my Blog Remodel. Danielle over at The Design Girl is re-doing my blog. I can't wait to see it. I looked at a lot of Blog designers, and her site was definetly my favorite. If you are interested in customizing your blog, I highly suggest her. I have been on her waiting list for a few weeks now, and I have watched as my name moves closer to the top. And just this weekend, I got to pick my new kit. And, I also changed the name of my Blog. I have been really trying to come up with something that is more "Me". And I am really happy with my choice. Hopefully it will be up and running soon. Keep checking back to see my new blog.
