This is the card I sent Buddy when I found out I was pregnant, that with a dozen pink and blue balloons.
Buddy and Kai
Me and Kai
Picture of Wishes for Baby from Kai's baby book.
Kai and Buddy Christmas pictures 1997. Gosh I used to love Gymboree for the kids. Too bad they have outgrown it. : (
Kai and Buddy attending her first birthday party.
Kai and Buddy on April 11, 1997 her 7th month. We used to have a cake made to celebrate every month leading up to her first birthday. (She was so sick that day.)Talk about a Daddy's Girl. From the moment Kai was born, she was a "Daddy's Girl". I can't compete. And, I actually don't mind. I think that it is great that Kai and Buddy have such a good relationship. She tends to tell him more than she tells me. And he tends to induldge her every whim.
Kai is our miracle. I had had a perfect pregnancy. Kai was due on September 16th. On September 10th, My water broke and things got very bad from there. Kai went into fetal distress and I ended up with an emergency C-section. Kai was born purple and her apgar scores were horrible. Thankfully the Dr.s worked fast and we were able to bring our angel home with us. I was looking through Kai's baby book the other night and I found a section titled "Wishes for Baby". It's funny how different mine is from Buddy's. Here they are.
From Mommy: I want her to be happy and most of all a healthy baby. I hope that she enjoys herself and makes the most of what life has to offer. I want her to love and respect her family. I want her to do well in school, and go onto college. I would like her to take dance lessons and gymnastics and pursue whichever of the two or anything else she likes. And, if she wants maybe pageants. Love, Mommy
From Daddy: I want the best this world can offer for my little girl. I want Kassandra to excel in everything she does in life and that she can count with all of Daddys support. Daddy wishes that you don't get married until you are 40 but I know it wouldn't be possible because you are so beautiful! I guess what I'm trying to say Kassie, is that you will always be Daddy's Girl and my wish already came true and I hope all of yours come true. Love Always, Daddy
I typed those exactly as was written in her baby book. For the record, I used to be a local director for the Miss Arizona Pageant, and that's why I wrote the pageant entry. I have completly changed my mind about pageants since then.
