Party anyone???

Can I just say how much I enjoy entertaining...I have always loved to put parties together, or plan small gatherings. And now, something must be in the air, because I am dying to plan another get together. I just need to come up with a reason. Can someone help me with that? Someone must be having a molar pulled or some kind of something that merits a gathering. I'm open to suggestions.

Or......maybe it's because the other day while blog hopping I came across this blog. It is an entertainers heaven. I have just gone through a few pages and I am in awe of all the great entertaining ideas. It has decorating ideas, recipes, products, birthday party themes, baby shower themes. Please, visit this blog, you will absolutely love it! It will make you want to throw your mail man a party, I swear. Don't say I didn't warn you.

And, since I did happen to entertain over the weekend for my sons Communion. I made some very simple Pomegranate martinis, and I have had four requests for the recipe. Well, I feel silly, because really, they are so easy. They were not very special. I didn't even rim the martini glasses with sugar, and I have lost sleep about that, let me tell you. And I also forgot to yank an actual pomegranate from my backyard so that I can garnish them with. I know, I know, what kind of entertainer am I anyways? I can say this, even though they didn't have sugar rimmed glasses or pieces of pomegranate floating in them, they were very, very good. So here is the simple, but delicious recipe for them. And please, by all means make me look bad and rim those glasses and add some pomegranate pieces to them. I can say this, the other thing that made them so good was the gorgeous martini glasses that I served them in. I have attached a picture. They were gifted to me and unfortunately they are sold out. Here is a link to them, you can try and see if they come in again. Go to Sur La Table, they might get some more.

Two parts pomegranite mix, I bought this one at BevMo.
One part vodka

Mix with ice, serve, and enjoy!

Hey, thanks for the great recipe. I am going to try making it today. Do you have any recipe that adds acai juice?

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Blog Remodel

I am also looking forward to my Blog Remodel. Danielle over at The Design Girl is re-doing my blog. I can't wait to see it. I looked at a lot of Blog designers, and her site was definetly my favorite. If you are interested in customizing your blog, I highly suggest her. I have been on her waiting list for a few weeks now, and I have watched as my name moves closer to the top. And just this weekend, I got to pick my new kit. And, I also changed the name of my Blog. I have been really trying to come up with something that is more "Me". And I am really happy with my choice. Hopefully it will be up and running soon. Keep checking back to see my new blog.
