Flashback Friday

This week, I'm going to link to my friend Alicia's Friday Photo Flashback. Alicia started this a few months ago, and I borrowed her idea. She now has a button for it, and a Mr. Linky too. Click on her button to view her Friday Photo Flashback, and by all means, join in the fun too!
The fun is to post old photos pre-digital days. Photos that you have to scan. It's nice to reminisce about these pictures.

This picture was taken in April of 2002. My sister in law and I loaded up her van and drove to California all by ourselves with my two kids, her two boys, and our nanny, Alma. The boys stayed home to work. It was so much fun. We stayed for four days, and we did whatever we wanted to do. We even drove down to Newport beach one day. Kai was five and Nachito was two. I miss seeing them so little.
This was Nachito's first time in Disneyland, and he wasn't afraid of the characters at all. He absolutely loved it. Winnie the Pooh was his favorite back then.
Kai also loved the characters so much. She has always loved Disneyland just as much as Buddy and I. Which is why she wants to go to Disneyland for her 13th birthday as opposed to having a birthday party. This, is killing me because I have already started planning her party. I have the theme ready to go, and I have already ordered supplies for it. Buddy keeps reminding me that it is her birthday, not mine. : ( I just want her to have a special party, since she will officially be a teenager. Hopefully we can come up with a compromise soon.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
