Even though, I had Monday off, and my usual two day weekend was a three day weekend, it went by all too fast. So, what I am thinking, is that I need a cupcake. A Sprinkles cupcake to be exact. I need to drive to Sprinkles and buy me some Key Lime cupcakes. Like this one. They are available for a short time only. Then, my day will feel more like a Tuesday. : )

This weekend was a blast for many reasons. First of all, we had a Douglas High School Alumni reunion in Scottsdale. Why did we have a Douglas reunion in Scottsdale? Well, because so many of us live here.
Let's go back a few months. Facebook is the best networking site. After re-connecting with a lot of people on there, a few of us decided to plan this reunion. We got together for a few months at Happy Hours and planned this. It was a lot of fun. And it went off with a bang. There was a great turn out. Friday night was hosted at Los Olivos, and Saturday night was hosted at Flickas. Flicka happens to be from Douglas, and he always graciously hosts "Douglas" events.
It was nice to catch up with so many people from high school. And since it was an alumni reunion, there were people of all ages. At first, I was nervous. I don't know, I've changed, people change. You never know how it will be to see people from the past. Especially when you grow up in a small town. There were people that couldn't come, that I really would have loved to see, but the people that I did see, I was happy to see. It was great to hear how well everyone is doing. To see pictures of kids, or hear about their kids. Friday night was a lot of dancing and laughing. The band that played at Los Olivos was as good as any Douglas band. Buddy couldn't go with me on Friday, because he had to work on Saturday. So right before midnight, like Cinderella I made my way home. On Saturday, Buddy did go with me and we had a great time. Saturday there was no dancing, it was more catching up and laughing. And after that breakfast at Denny's with Elda and her husband Mark. Lot's of fun. I think since this weekend went off so well, that we should make it a tradition. What do you think Elda? I'm sure Alex and Joey will agree. That is, if they have recovered...............Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.
