Bling, bling and more bling...

It's definitely not what I normally do on a Saturday, but it's something I love to do. I love to create things and see them done. Today, I worked on making rhinestone letters for some dance costumes for Nationals. I made 19 letters from Jet black Hot Fix rhinestones. It's not very hard, but it is a little time consuming because you have to lay down one stone at a time. It is also very wearing on the eyes. I was happy when I was done with all the letters. Now I have to iron them on to the shirts.

While I was in the mood, and I had all my supplies out, I went ahead and started working on the iron on transfers for some New Moon shirts. Some friends have asked me for a "blinged" New Moon shirt. The front will say New Moon and the back, a tag line from the book. I already picked mine, everyone else needs to pick out theirs.

My messy work area
I started working on this, but I'm not very happy with it so far, I think I need to order smaller stones, or play with the font size. I think they are going to look pretty cool.
I'm also making some pretty cool hats for another costume. I'm making 21 of those, I will post a picture of those when I'm done. I can't wait to see them all done. For now, I'm very tired and my eyes are blurry from rhinestoning all day, so I think I'll take a break until tomorrow. I might just go re-read Harry Potter and The Half Blooded Prince. I have to get ready for that movie. I guess that won't really help my eyes very much, now will it?

Neisha I can't wait to get my shirt now! They are going to look awesome. I am going to go through the book tomorrow to pick out a line. A big thank you to Ruben because you have to be a computer genius to download that font so now you can make anything from the Twilight Saga and have the exact font. I may want 2 shirts because you know we will have to break our records from twilight( I mean seeing@ the theatre). Remember our shirts for Twilight nobody had them and people kept complimenting us! We will be Original again:)

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
