KAR Phoenix

Kai and Danni
Danni got 2nd Overall and Kai 4th Overall
Great job girls!!
This past weekend marked the end of Regional competitions for the kids at TDA. It was bitter sweet. It means that Nationals are around the corner, but also that no more local competitions and also saying goodbye to some of their favorite dances. In the Fall will be a whole new year, new dances and new competitions. Overall, the kids at TDA did amazing. All placing within the top 10 in each of their categories and age groups. Kai placed 4th overall in the Secondary 12-14 division. She also got a KAR Kid award, inviting her to KAR Nationals. She was happy with the results. Now, they are concentrating on getting ready for NYCDA in NYC. We leave on July 8th, and we come back on July 18th. I can't wait. This year, Kai will be so busy with Outstanding Dancer, that I won't see her too much. Me and all the other moms will have a blast though.

On Friday, we leave to Douglas so that Kai can perform in my sisters dance recital. She loves to go to Douglas and dance there. It's the one and only time that Buddy's parents get to see her dance. She really enjoys it. Nachito, on the other hand loves to go to Douglas period. He will be going down there while we are in New York. That is the best vacation for him, he loves it.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
