Kassie's 4th Birthday Party

Britney Spears

Sunday, September 10, 2000

For Kassie's 4th Birthday party, I let her talk me into a Britney Spears party. I could not find any Britney party supplies so I improvised. I made music CD's for the invitations. I color copied a picture of Britney for the CD case. When you opened the CD case, the party info was on the inside. At the time, she only had one CD out, so I burned the "Baby One More Time" CD for every invitation.
We went with a pink and lavender theme. I bought butterfly and daisy Mylar balloons to decorate with. I had a friend make that huge butterfly shaped piñata. Kassie did not want to let anyone break it. As you can see in the picture, her and a friend are holding onto it for dear life. My mom made her the sassy outfit and she and I made butterfly shaped candy bags with felt again. Kassie really did love Britney when she was little. She used to dance on the coffee table to all of her videos. And I guess I didn't help either. I brought her to Cricket to see her in concert when she was only three. Is that bad? She loved it and watched the whole time. I think she saw her in concert two more times before she moved onto Hillary Duff.
Next weeks theme's, yes theme's. We moved from Douglas to Phoenix that year and she wanted a party with her school friends from Douglas, and her new friends in Phoenix.

Douglas party: NSYNC (yes, again, I know)

Phoenix party: Hawaiian Luau

Wow, you really went all out and had so many neat and creative ideas. Did she cry when the pinata broke? Great flashback.

Look at that little Brittney, you can almost see her doing a Brit dance and sing 'baby one more time'. Great pictures!

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
