A Baby Shower

About a month ago, my friend Patti asked me to design and make some baby shower invitations for her sisters baby shower. The theme is sock monkey's. I love it!! The colors they are using are red, brown and tan. I designed the actual invitation, and then I ordered the red pochette's and red envelopes. I wrapped the invitations with brown grosgrain ribbon and added a red button to it. They look a lot better in person, but I am very happy with how they turned out.

I really do enjoy making invitations for fun. I have made invitations for a lot of family and friends. The only cost involved, is the supplies. It's just something that I enjoy doing. I really don't have time to turn it into a business. In the mean time, I will continue to make them for family and friends. At least for now.

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
