Boys will be boys....

I sat down with Nachito recently to talk about his Birthday party. I wanted him to pick a theme so that I could start to plan his party. Ugh, this is when I get frustrated. All he wanted to talk about was his costume for Halloween. He says "Can you order me my costume first and then we will talk about my party?" So, he grabs the Costume Express catalog that I got in the mail. He has the page bookmarked. This is what I want to be this year. Snake Eyes from G I Joe. I want the gloves and the sword and of course the mask. So, I go online and I order all of the above and he is happy. So, below is the picture of Nachito's Halloween costume. I have yet to see the movie, but Nachito apparently likes it.

When that was said and done, I asked him. "Now can we talk about your party?" "Yeah, I just want it at Pump it up." "That's it? No invitations, no party favors, no cute decorations?" "No mom, just at Pump it up." Well, that was easy. One phone call to Pump it up this morning and his party is all done. All I have to do is order the cake or in my case cupcakes. And his party is planned. Geesh, that is way to easy. Again, boys will be boys and so NID (not into details). Lucky for me...I have one of each. To see what Pump it up is all about, click on here.

So, while I was ordering from Costume Express, I found these cute boots for Kai. She wants to be a 70's girl for Halloween this year. She is having Nana Norma make her a costume. I was actually very surprised on the quality of these boots. They were only $30. They fit her well, and she is ready to go. I guess I will get some use out of those Bump its that I bought after all.
I'll be hitting Joann's this weekend to find the pattern and fabric for Nana Norma. I'm sure she will do a great job.

Confession:

I went back and I was reading some of my old blog posts from a few months ago. OMG I need to confess that I was having some kind of funk with the words THERE and THEIR. I don't know why, but I just lost that part of my grammar for a while. I know that blogs are not always perfect, and believe me, mine is always off. I make spelling mistakes all of the time. I make grammar mistakes all of the time too. For some reason, for a while there those two words just got me. I need to find the time to go back and fix all of the blog posts with those mistakes. Most of the time, I am in such a hurry posting, that I miss a word here and there, but wow, it was bad. Sorry.

Oh, what a cool costume!! And love the 70's idea!! LOL, can I steal it?? Hahaha!!

Anyway, you're so cute w/ your "their and they're." I'm such a stickler w/ my own spelling, so I know what you mean!!!!

How are you, girl?

My son, Cayden, wants to be Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe too! We've already been to the Halloween store to check all the costumes out. I haven't seen the movie either, but Cayden has seen it twice.

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
