"An Evening in Paris"

I may not have really gone to Paris, but somehow, I'm feeling a little jet lagged. It was "An Evening in Paris" full of fun. All of the kids seemed to have a great time. The girls looked amazing decked out in their "Little Black Dresses" and Kolton looked handsome in his shirt and slacks. It was a fun-filled night.

The evening started with the arrivals. After they "socialized" for a bit, they had an Etiquette lesson. A friend of mine was kind enough to come over and give a mini Etiquette class. It was very interesting and fun. They learned a lot.

After the etiquette lesson, they enjoyed appetizers and signed a matte for Kai. During that time, each guest received a black necklace. They were not allowed to say the word "Dance" or they would lose their necklace. As you can imagine, it was hard for these dancers to not use that word.

We followed up with dinner. Buddy made an amazing dinner for the evening. He started with a mixed green salad with a Red Wine Vinaigrette salad dressing. For the Main course, he made Chicken Cordon Blue, steamed Vegetables and small red potatoes. And of course some dinner rolls.

After dinner they were dying to dig into the candy bar, but we made them wait a little. We discovered that the large "Diamond" that was on one of the tables, had been stolen. They had to use clues to figure out who stole the "Diamond". In the end, the thief was Buddy. The winning team pulled out prizes out of the prize basket.

Then, they attacked, and I do mean attacked the desert bar. And after they were loaded with sugar, we sang to the birthday girl and she opened her gifts. Most of the kids spent the night. They changed into their PJ's and had a Acro competition, they danced, and they told scary stories. I'm not sure what time some of them went to bed. Last time I heard them was around 3' in the morning. : 0

In the morning, I provided a buffet style breakfast (Buddy was at work) and they devoured it. It was so much fun, and now it's time for me to go and take a nap.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
