Fall is in the air.........

in some parts of the US. Not in Phoenix though. 103 degrees today....YUCK!! In less than two weeks, it will officially be Autumn. I would love to start digging out my fall and winter clothes, but what for? It will still be in the 100's here. I've been wanting a new pair of Fall/Winter boots, but I get hot just looking at them. I have been blog reading all week (yes, I have read every ones blogs, I just didn't have a chance to post comments) and so many are talking about fall weather. Some talk about 70 degree weather, some cooler, I'm so jealous! Yes, that's right, I'm JEALOUS.

Last Tuesday as I went through the Drive-thru at Starbucks I saw it, I saw the advertisement for my favorite Pumpkin Spice Latte. Oh no, they brought it out early this year. They normally don't introduce it until October. Soooo, I did it! I ordered it even though it was so hot outside. I just moved all of the air filters in my direction so that I would get some cold air. It was sinful. And I am very proud of myself because I normally order Venti's, but for the Pumpkin Spice, I moved down to a Grande.

And speaking of Grande....I have a Grande problem. And I mean GRANDE. In one month exactly, is my niece's wedding. The Grande problem is that I have no dress to wear yet. : 0 I have looked and looked and I cant' find anything that I really like. So, after Kai's party this weekend, that will have to become my new priority. I need to find a dress. I did find these fabulous shoes though. Not for the wedding, but for other events. Buddy thinks that they look like stripper shoes, but MK does not make stripper shoes Buddy...duh. Heck I'm 5'3" who can blame me for wanting to look a little taller. Geesh.

And...speaking of shoes, come January, I will be in shoe heaven. My friend Cristina, the one that I am Maid of Honor for, (cough, cough) OK well, Matron of Honor. She has postponed and relocated her wedding. Initially it was scheduled for November 21st at ASU. Now, she has moved it to January 23, 2010 and the location is now Venice, Italy!! That's right...Buddy and I will be saying Ciao to the kids and we will be off to Italy in January. Burrrr, but at least there I will actually be able to wear my Fall/Winter wardrobe (smile) actually, (big, big smile and constant grin). Buddy and I have never been so we are very excited. We will be there for five days plus two travel days. Thankfully my mom has volunteered to come and watch the kiddos for us. BTW local blog friends. I might need a little help getting Kai home from dance. Any volunteers?

And finally, this weekend is Kai's birthday party. As excited as I am, I'm also glad that it's almost over. It's been a long time planning. My brain was and is so overwhelmed with party details. I'm hoping it all turns out great. I will post pictures on Sunday. And, in just a few short hours, I will be the mother of a teenager. Double Yikes. It's unbelievable. My little girl will be 13 tomorrow. AHHHHH I'll just have to embarrass her with tomorrow's post. Baby pictures etc. It's OK, she owes me. : )

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
