Candy bags

After posting about the kids birthday parties. I have some friends that have asked me about the candy bags. I took some pictures of some of the ones I've made. I couldn't find all of them. I have them put away somewhere. Here are a few though. All of them are made out of felt, and most of them are hand painted with fabric paints and then sewn together. I usually do all of the cutting and painting, and then I mail them to my mom and she sews them and adds the cord to them. If I'm cutting it close on time, I have to sew them, but my mom sews way better than me.

They are fun and cute. And, they hold a lot of candy. Besides the ones below, I have also made Spider Man, Cinderella, Bear in the Big Blue House, Princess crowns, Butterflies, Winnie the Pooh, Records, and so many more that I can't remember.

I do make these for friends and family, if I get the request with plenty of time. With a full time job, I have to work on them in the evenings. If anyone needs them for your next party, just let me know!

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
