Give Thanks

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone. This year, there were so many things to be thankful for.

Our Thanksgiving dinner was small this year. And although it was smaller than most years, it was very nice. My mom and my older sister, my brother-in-law and family, my niece and great nephew, my dear friend Karen and her daughter Tatum and Mr and Mrs. Warga. Mr. and Mrs Warga also celebrated their 50th anniversary earlier in the week, how awesome is that? We had a great time with everyone.

I did my cooking for the year 2009. I made Henry and all the works. Sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, Mexican macaroni and cheese, corn, green beans, dinner rolls, and all of the appetizers. My sister made her traditional cranberry mold and my sister-in-law Wendy brought the pies and cakes. We had some vino and champagne and the conversations were delightful. The kids had a few rounds of Karaoke and had a blast.

Thank you to my family and friends for joining us this year. We missed our other family members, hopefully next year. I am thankful to have you all in my life.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Just how long has it been? A long, long time....

Not so much of a Blogaholic. I almost feel the need to change the name of my poor little blog. It has sat here deserted with no updates and no pictures. I think about it everyday, yet I can't seem to find the time to come back to it. My intention for my blog was to document so much of our days and lives. And yet, I have let months go by without one little entry. There is no way my mind can remember everything that has happened since my last post. So much missed. The majority of Kai's 8th grade year, and the majority of Nachito's 5th grade year. Not to mention how many holidays and important events I have missed. Trips and of course Birthday parties. Somehow I need to find the time to record these events, and even if I have to back date them, I will document them at some point. This week is a tough school week for the kids. AIMS testing for both of them. Today they both felt very good about how they did. Nothing much has changed in Kai's world. She still dances, still c...
