It's just a magical place.......

There is nothing like Disneyland during the holidays. I absolutely LOVE it! The decorations are breathtaking. Every detail is perfect. The tree on Mainstreet the castle with the snow, the Mickey wreaths throughout the park. Even the cotton candy is white like snow with red and green sugar sprinkled on it. The caramel apples are in the shape of a snowman wearing a Mickey hat of course. The parade with Mickey and Minnie ice skating and Santa with his reindeer. Small World with all of it's lights. Ohhh if I could only live there.

This trip, while planned, did not initially include a trip to Disneyland. It was a trip for another one of Kai's competitions. She had a competition in Burbank on the 14th and 15th. After talking to my friend Cristina, she and I decided that we would go a day early and go to Disneyland. It wasn't until after that planning that we realized that it would be the first day of the Holiday season at the park. We were even more excited.

Cristina's sister-in-law works at Disneyland and she goes every chance that she can get. Her brother Robert's wedding was Disney themed. I'll never forget that our table at the wedding was Twiddle Dee and Twiddle dumb. I have never met a couple that love Disney as much as them. Kim started working at the Disneyland hotel, and she worked her way up the ladder. Now she works at the Park and helps with the parades and the events. How lucky is she? She can tell you every detail about Disneyland right down to how many bathrooms it has. She even goes to the park on her days off. And, I'm even a little jealous of her because she and Robert have dined at Club 33 on numerous occasions. I would love to dine there at least once in my lifetime. Hopefully one of these days.

So, although we did not have dinner at Club 33, we did get to do a lot considering we were only there for the day. We saw the parade, the Small World light show and most importantly, we saw it snow on Mainstreet. And here comes a confession. I cried when it starting snowing. We were standing right in the middle of Mainstreet they lit up the huge tree in all white lights, Christmas music starting coming through the speakers and the snow started falling. When I turned to look at the castle, it to was lit up in all white lights, it was amazing. I couldn't help but shed a few tears. It really was magical.

I want to go back!!!!!

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
