Kick Tap

Mike Cook (this year, he will perform at Mesa Arts with his daughter Maya) You don't want to miss it!

The infamous Soldier number. It's a crowd favorite.

Another favorite "Here comes Santa Clause".
(That is Kai up in the air)
Just 23 more shopping days left until Christmas! I have not even started shopping yet. I need to make my list and check it twice. I already know what Buddy is getting me, and it has something to do with an apple, a bitten apple. : )

Kai gave me her list on Sunday, and it's not very long. This year, she had The Humane society on her list, and added St. Jude's Children's Hospital to her list as well. She never seizes to amaze me.

Nachito has not even started a list. Every once in a while, he mentions something. I really need to start paying attention. No charities in his vocabulary. Those two are like night and day. I need to change that.
The Spirit of Christmas!!!

16 more days until The Spirit of Christmas!!! I can't believe that the show is just around the corner. I'm frazzled trying to gather up Kai's costumes. I'm making a list for that too, except that I'll need to check that list off more than twice. I know that in the past I have mentioned how amazing this show is. Unfortunately, ticket sales are slow. I'm attaching a link to a video that was made especially for advertisement. Please watch it, and if you don't have anything to do on December 17th or 20th please go watch this show. A lot of hard work goes into putting this production on. Watch the video here. Tickets are still on sale through Ticketmaster. This will be Kai's fifth year performing in the show! She can't wait!
And while I'm on the subject of Christmas, here is a link to my favorite Christmas song. I love, love this song. And if this song can't get you in the Christmas spirit, then Ba, Humbug to you!!
Happy December!!!
I almost forgot......I saw the best movie this weekend! I highly, highly recommend it. On Friday night, while the kids watched New Moon. Karen, Holly, Mike and I went to go see The Blind Side. I was moved to tears. It is such a great movie. I loved it so much, that I made Buddy take me on Sunday afternoon with the kiddos. And, the best part about it, it's a true story. When we got home on Sunday after the movie, Buddy was watching Sunday night football, and Michael Oher was playing. Very touching, go see it. Sandra Bulluck does an amazing job, as does hottie, hottie Tim Mcgraw. And since I'm going link crazy today, here is a link to the official trailer.

I so want to go see the Spirit of Christmas at the Mesa Arts Center, but do you think my kids would like it? I have a 3, 5 and 10 year old.

Christmas Canon is one of my favorites too! I've got to get that song put up on my blog! I tried to go to the Blind Side, but it was sold out on the night my hubby and I had a babysitter. It looks like I'm going to have to wait until the 12th to see it! Happy December to you!
Ah...these pics are fabulous. Thanks for sharing. Happy December!!!

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
