Another weekend has come and gone...

sad, so sad. Although I really shouldn't complain because I had a three day weekend. Even though I was sick for all of it, and still am. There I go...complaining again. Oh well.

My weekend started out on Thursday evening with a trip to Dave and Busters with the Krouse Family, Mary, Kai and myself. The kids played while Jana and I talked. The kids had fun. We were waiting for it to be close to midnight so that we can go to the theater to watch Remember Me. There was no madness like the evening that New Moon premiered, it wasn't even playing at the Cine Capri.

I had purposely not read any reviews on the movie prior to going. I hate to know to much about a movie before I go. Sometimes I feel let down if I already know what is going to happen. I honestly didn't even know that it had anything to do with September 11th. I personally really liked the movie. I thought Robert Pattinson did a good job in it. It was a very sad movie, and I did not see the end of the movie coming at all. It was not predictable in my opinion. Do I think it was an Oscar worthy movie? No, but it was good. I would go see it again, not 20 times, but maybe once more.

After we got home from the movie, we needed to pack our stuff to catch our flight to CA in eight hours. Mary and Kai slept while I packed and then we were off.

The flight was short, but I was miserable. I had fluid in my ears, and with the altitude changes, my ears felt like they were going to explode. It was painful. When we landed I had almost no hearing left. Holly was practically screaming in my ears so that I could hear. We took a shuttle to our hotel and then got ready to head to Disneyland. We stopped at Downtown Disney for lunch at Naples and then went into the park. As sick as I was, I did not let it stop us. We rode on as many rides as we could. Then we headed over to California Adventure so that Mary and Kai could ride Screamin while Holly, Maya and I waited for an hour for Toy Story. We were so tired that we watched the fireworks and headed back to our hotel, and dinner was served bedside. Yep, we ordered room service, we were exhausted and I could barely move. My cold was just getting worse, and by then, I had lost my voice to.

Saturday morning we had reservations for the character breakfast in Disneyland. We had a great time. The girls enjoyed taking pictures with all of them. Then if was off to another day of Disney. Maya had to perform at 12:30, but she had to be ready at 11:00. We dropped her off, and Holly and I headed to Space Mountain. Kai and Mary left with the Ares family to Indiana Jones.

We then went back to watch the show. It was adorable. The kids did amazing. We sat there for a while afterward and waited for the next show. It was Tucson Dance Academy's show. Wanda's oldest daughters studio. Maya also danced in that show. After that, more fun.

This morning, we had breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. Then we went back to the park. We left the park at 4:45 and waited for our taxi back to the airport. When we got there, Holly realized that her wallet was missing. It was panic mode. We called the hotel and someone had turned her wallet in. She had to take a cab back to hotel while I got us all checked in. Wanda, Wendy and Bethany were on our same flight. Holly barely made it back in time for the flight.

Thankfully we all made it back home safe and sound. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

Good things come to those who wait...

I was having one of those bad Mondays. One of those Mondays when everything seems to be going wrong. 1. Our phones at the office are not working. 2. Statements went out over the weekend and angry patients are calling to complain. 3. My coffee got cold and I had to throw it away, and now I have a caffeine headache. 4. My cell phone has been tied up all day because I'm having our calls forwarded to it. (good thing for rollover minutes). 5. My boss has just added two more things to my darker pink "TODO" notebook. And just as I was about to roll up in a ball and hide under my desk, I got this e-mail. Dear Kindle Customer, Today, we introduced Kindle 2, the next generation of our wireless reading device. Because you already ordered the original Kindle and are awaiting its arrival, we're pleased to inform you that we are upgrading your order so that you will receive the new Kindle 2. You will be in the first group to receive Kindle 2, and you will receive yours as soon as K

Where do I begin???

After a long absence from my blog, I am finally sitting down to post. So much has happened in the past month that I honestly don't know where to begin. December 23, 2009 turned my world upside down. My mom suffered a minor heart attack, and was taken by ambulance to Chandler Regional Hospital. When I arrived, she was in good shape, and she was talking. They ordered a CT Scan of her chest. When she got back to the ER from her test, every thing that could have gone wrong, did. She suffered another heart attack, this one was much worse. She was in-tubated and things were not looking very good for her. The next few days were spent waiting for tests to be run, consulting with Dr.s and praying. A lot of praying. We were finally told that she would need to undergo a quadruple bypass. There was a problem with that, because she was in critical condition. Her kidneys were failing, her blood pressure was to high, as was her blood sugar. And, she was to weak. The surgeon said that we would
