It has been a long and crazy process, but finally Sassy Girlz Dancewear is open! I think back on two years ago, when I first had the thought.....hum...I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Thankfully, I have had an awesome support system in my life and they helped me get through all the road blocks that came about. Sal for one, he has had many a title in the opening of Sassy Girlz Dancewear. He was there to meet with inspectors for every single inspection, he was the painter of walls (except for the striped wall, that was all me!) He layed down the floor every last bit of it. Built the counter, runway and benches in the dressing rooms all from scratch. And on top of that, he welded the racks in the store too. And upon much nagging, finally mounted the plasma t.v. on wall. You see, there is a story to that t.v. It happened on Super Bowl Sunday, we had already purchased t.v. for the store and on that Sunday, he thought we could just set up t.v. so that kids had a t.v to use for Guitar Hero while the "Guys" watched the game. Well, that was fine except for the fact that Nachito did not want to let it go. He took claim of the t.v. and Sal felt bad taking it away from him and giving it back to where it was originally purchased for. Anyhow, that is the story behind the t.v. Now that the store is officially open, it is proving to be a good move. Well there is a minor set back, you see, the store in which was opened because of my daughters love of dance, has become my daughters closet. As on a weekly basis she forgets to pack her dance clothes in the morning, and when is dropped off at store after school, I get the call. "Mom I forgot my dance clothes at home, can I just grab something from the store?" I think it is a well thought out plan on her behalf and pretty soon mom is going to say no, and she will have to dance in her fashionable Catholic school uniform. Let's see what she has to say about that. Enough rambling...Please enjoy picures of Sassy Girlz Dancewear, hope you will all stop by when you have a chance. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this endeavor a reality. Lots of Love, Neisha

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
