New Moon means New Projects

Filming has started for New Moon, and the waiting is already driving me crazy. I remember waiting for the premiere of Twilight. I had a countdown widget on my screen at work. I think I must have watched the five trailers a million times. Waiting for the Soundtrack to come out was just as exciting. I really need to find something to keep me busy for the next seven months, that way I don't get too obsessed again. The good news is, that they have cast all of the Volturi and Harry Clearwater. You can see pictures of them here. The bad news is, having to wait so long to see them in the movie. I do have to say, that I can not wait to see Dakota Fanning as Jane, I think she was cast perfectly. I have also read, that although my Edward is only in the beginning and in the end of New Moon, that he will come out throughout the movie. Especially when Bella is putting herself in danger to hear his voice. They are going to show him talking to her. That will make the movie for me.
So I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I will start crafting again to keep me busy. I will organize my messy craft closet and finish unfinished projects, start projects that I have evertything for, but never even touched, and come up with new ones. I have blank canvas just sitting there waiting for some color, I have fabric that is waiting to become something, I have wooden letters waiting to be decopaged, and most importantly, I have rhinestones waiting to find a home. See, already this blog post is inspiring me. We'll see how many projects I can finish in seven months. : )

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Let's Rock n' Roll at Kassandra Paulyna's 3rd Birthday!! Saturday, September 11 th , 1999 For Kassie's 3rd Birthday, we decided to keep it small. We hosted it at our home. I was pregnant with Nachito , and I was in no mood to make a big party. The theme was fun to work with. For invitations, I went to a local record shop and bought old 45's. I made new labels with party info on them. They were exactly like the one in the photos, except on real records. I made record sleeves for them and handed them out. They were very cute. We made record shaped candy bags out of black and red felt. We had a hula hoop contest, and a bubble gum blowing contest too. My mom made Kassie her poodle skirt, and I added the K to her shirt. I was able to find her black and white oxfords at Payless . My sister made milk shake center pieces out of old fashioned coca cola glasses, tinted Styrofoam , carnations and a straw. Buddy cut out the juke box shape out of styrafoam, and I painted it. I...
