Let's Clown Around

Kassandra Paulyna's

2nd Birthday Party

Sunday, September 6th 1998

For Kassie's 2nd birthday we went with a clown theme. Don't ask me why, I'm not very fond of clowns. I just thought it was cute and colorful. It was a big party again, held at the same location as her 1st party.

My mom and I again, made real cute candy boxes. They were clowns made out of an empty corsage box. The box formed the body. We added craft foam for the arms and feet. For the head, we bought pantyhose and cut them, we stuffed them with pillow stuffing and sewed the sides. We made yarn pom poms for the hair, a small craft pom pom for the nose and wiggley craft eyes. We made a birthday hat out of foam. They were real cute. If you look closely at the top picture, their is one on the floor in front of Kai.

We even had someone making balloon animals, wait, that was me. I learned to make balloon animals for the party. And please let's not get ahead of ourselves. I was nothing like the guys at Red Lobster that can make crowns and swords. Mine were very simple, just a rabbit and a weenie dog. I don't even remember how to do it anymore. It was a lot of fun though.

Come back next Friday for her 3rd birthday. It was a 50's Sock Hop!

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
