Flashback Friday

Here it is Friday again. I can't believe how fast the week went by. Two weeks of school have gone by already. This past week was a bit of a challenge. First, just as I was bragging about Nachito's Asthma being under control, he starts to have Asthma attacks all night Saturday and all day Sunday. I bring him into the office on Monday, and his oxygen levels are down and he's put on steroids, antibiotics, on top of all of his Asthma meds. He was a sick little boy. Then on Wednesday, both Kai and Buddy tested + for Strep throat. At this point, I just want to rent a room at a hotel to keep from getting sick.

Fortunately both kids are back at school today just in time for the weekend. Not that I have any major plans this weekend, which I'm actually happy about. Just the normal laundry, cleaning and relaxing.

Ok, so back to Flashback Friday. Today I realized that I have officially been blogging for over three years. As I was about to post about Kai's 10th Birthday, I realized that it was my second blog post ever. I was not a savvy blogger then, and really, I'm not saying that I'm a savvy blogger now, but I am a little more familiar with posting. Back then I entered her 10th party in what seems like 20 different posts. I am going to just attach links to all of the posts and go from there.

Kassie's 10th Birthday Party
Spa Sleepover
Saturday, September 9th 2006
This was the first real sleepover party that Kai had. In the past, she had just invited a few friends to spend the night. It did get a little crazy, but I think it's because of all of the chocolate that they ate. For invitations, I happened by the $1 section at Target ( I love that little section) and I found Hot pink and Turquoise eye masks and little door hanger pillows. I printed information on card stock and bought cellophane bags and wrapped the pillows and invites in them. Those were the invitations. As party favors, I added marabou and rhinestones to the masks. The kids had a lot of fun.

Gee, that sucks that your kids got sick after two weeks of school! Not fun, but renting a nice hotel room sounds great:-) Congrats on blogging for three years! I just celebrated one year of blogging!

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
