It's that time again. The time when you walk through the halls of Tempe Dance Academy and you hear Christmas music coming from the rooms. They are busy getting ready for the 22nd Annual Spirit of Christmas Show. Costumes are being ordered and custom made and sets are being built and touched up.

The teachers are hard at work choreographing some amazing numbers for this years show. There will be the traditional dances, but some new ones as well. This year will be the return of The 12 Days of Christmas. A crowd favorite. They perform that number every two years. This year, Kai will be a Five Golden Ring. She was very excited, that's exactly what she wanted to be. Last time she was a Four Calling Bird and prior to that, a 12 Drummer Drumming. Ohhh, they are all so cute. It really is an amazing show!!

This year due to the fact that Chandler Center for the Arts is under construction, it will be held at two different venues. First, on December 17th at Mesa Arts Theater and then two shows on Sunday, December 20th at ASU Gammage. Tickets for the show at Gammage went on sale this past weekend. Gammage seats 3000, so we really need support in order to fill this venue for the kids that are working so hard to put on this show. We are trying to get some T.V time and some advertising for these shows. For all of my friends and family that always support Kai and all of the dancers, here is the link to purchase the tickets for the Gammage shows. I'm obviously pushing that show because well....it's Gammage. To order tickets for either of the two shows, click here.

And like always, thank you so much to everyone that supports Kai and the amazing dancers at TDA. Here are some of the pictures from Kai at intermission with friends and family.

vous êtes conviés

Here are pictures of the invitations for Kassie's 13th Birthday party. I had so much fun making them. Hum...maybe because I used my three favorite colors, maybe because I like to make invitations, or maybe it's just because I LOVE to plan parties. Either way, here is a sneak peak. Sorry the pictures are so bad, my camera is dead and I used my phone.

My life through my iPhone 2

Part II of "My life through my iPhone.                    Saturday was the Marcos De Niza Homecoming!  Kassie and Aaron had a blast!  I was able to finish Kassie's ballroom shoes on Sunday. It was spirit week for Corona del Sol and on Monday it was TV character day.  She dressed as Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl.  Corona had a bon fire on Thursday, and the Pommies performed a hip hop routine.  Here is a picture I stole from Instagram. On Saturday evening, the kids decided to carve pumpkins.  Here is Nachito and Chanel getting ready to carve. Kassie and her friend Amanda did some carving too!  These may not be great posts, but it's a start.

Flashback Friday

Joining in with Alicia again. Head on over to her blog to participate. You can get there by clicking here . As promised, I will countdown Kai's birthdays parties every Friday from now on until we reach her 13th Birthday. Come join in Disney fun as Kassandra Paulyna turns one! Saturday, September 6, 1997 From day one, Kai was always smiling. Her cake was made by my sister Ana. Her piñata was bigger than she was. Two pages from her scrapbook, which I haven't kept up with, hence the blog. Kai's first birthday was bitter sweet. I had been planning it for about four months. At the time I was a stay at home mommy and I had nothing better to do. It was bitter sweet, because my dad had passed away two weeks prior to her party. We really considered moving the date or cancelling the party all together, but my mom said that my dad would not want that. So we went ahead with the party. At the time, we lived in Douglas, and parties in Douglas tend to be pretty big. We rented a dan...
